By accessing or using the Shteg AI platform, API, or any associated services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Shteg AI provides atomic payment settlement infrastructure for regulated industries including healthcare, real estate, estates and trusts, business and M&A, courts, insurance, legal services, and municipal government. The Service includes the Shteg Hub, industry-specific spoke portals, the settlement API, and associated compliance tools.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to enter into binding financial contracts in your jurisdiction. Use of the Service for healthcare settlement requires appropriate HIPAA authorization. Use for legal and court-related transactions requires applicable professional licensing.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access at security@shteg.ai. You are responsible for all activity occurring under your account.

All settlement transactions on the Shteg rail are subject to FedNow operating rules, NACHA guidelines, and applicable federal and state financial regulations. Shteg is not a bank, broker-dealer, or money transmitter. We provide settlement infrastructure — financial services are provided by our licensed banking partners.
Once a FedNow pacs.002 ACTC confirmation has been received and a deed has been submitted to Simplifile (for real estate transactions), the settlement is final and irrevocable absent fraud or court order.
By using the Service, you agree to cooperate with Shteg's AML screening, identity verification, and compliance processes. We reserve the right to pause or reject any transaction that does not pass our compliance gates.
The Shteg platform, settlement engine, compliance algorithms, and all associated software are the property of Shteg AI, Inc. You receive a limited, non-exclusive license to access the Service for its intended purpose. Nothing in these Terms transfers any IP ownership to you.
The Service is provided "as is." Shteg makes no warranties regarding uptime, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose beyond what is stated in any applicable SLA. Shteg's liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim.
Shteg is not liable for delays, errors, or losses caused by the Federal Reserve FedNow network, third-party banking partners, or force majeure events.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Shteg AI, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, or regulatory requirement. You may terminate your account by contacting hello@shteg.ai. Settlement records required for compliance will be retained per our Privacy Policy regardless of account status.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States. Any dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Hartford, CT, or US federal court with jurisdiction over the matter.
We will notify you of material changes via email and the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
